I'm excited to announce that Blocksom Photography is officially up and running!
My name is Carl Jay Blocksom owner and photographer.
My passion for photography started in 2000 when my dad encouraged me to take a photography class. Since then it has become a passion that has led me to open Blocksom Photography.
I'm dedicating this new chapter in my life to my dad. Today marks 7 years since he passed. He had a passion for photography as well being the photographer for his high school year books and for his own business.
Among many other things, he taught me to follow my dreams and find happiness in life. I'm taking his advice and beginning this leap of faith.
Thank you to all my family and friends that have been supportive of this venture and encouraging me to do this.
